A defining part of my story is growing up with an identical twin brother, which meant I was always in competition. Every game, workout, and meal was a chance to outdo each other, and through that friendly rivalry, I learned a simple truth: the better I treated my body, the better it performed...
What started as a way to win on the field soon became a deep fascination with nutrition and its power to transform health. That same enthusiasm later led me to a pre-med track and, ultimately, to dentistry.
But in dental school I noticed something troubling: the curriculum treated the mouth as if it existed in isolation. Nutrition was barely mentioned, and connections between oral health and the rest of the body were largely ignored.
When I began practicing in a traditional, insurance-driven office, I felt the same limitation. The system rewarded speed, not depth. There was no time to explore the root causes of my patients’ problems, no space to talk about prevention. I knew I wanted something different.
So I opened my own practice in Austin, Texas. Here, I take time with patients, learning about their diet, lifestyle, and habits. I focus on education - helping people understand how their daily choices shape both their oral and overall health.
Still, I found there was more I wanted to share than could fit into a single appointment. That’s why I began writing - a way to offer patients, and anyone interested, a resource they can return to again and again.
My goal here is simple: every Tuesday, I’ll share a newsletter with the same goal I have in the clinic: to give you the tools and knowledge to protect your health for life.
With care,
Aldo Ronci DDS
